I assume you are talking about the old one that has 6 cups in a line. There are a few types of commercial jams from the grocery that are the same exact size. You are looking for the standard jam canning jar, so if they stock canning supplies that at your grocery or hardware store - you can get them in bulk that way. Buying fancy jam is more fun though.
Also You don't have to have all 6 to run the machine. You could buy a few jams and as you eat through them, add another to your yogurt maker set. I often make plain yogurt and then put a dab of jam on top instead of honey, so it works out well. It is nice to have more than 6 jars too. With at least 7 jars, you will be able to save one jar as a starter and still cook up 6!
If you have the original jars and no lids, go to the pet store and buy the plastic cat food lids, they fit perfect.
