Use
4 sticks of unsalted butter
cream well with 1/2 cup XXXX sugar
add 1 egg yolk
1 t almond extract
1 t vanilla extract
2T Orange Juice
and mix well
In another bowl sift 4 cups flour with 1/2 t salt
and add a little of dry mixture at a time to the creamed mixture
refrigerate dough 1 hour
bake cooking 1 sheet at a time in 350 degree oven until lightly browned--8-10 min
use a iced teaspoon to form dough balls (1 rounded teaspoon)-keep dough chilled
I bake 24 at a time 4 across/ 6 down
roll rounded teaspoonfuls into balls
roll in sifted powdered sugar twice while stll warm
