Put a want ad in the paper, but only buy from a private breeder. They are much cheaper; you should not pay more than 40 dollars for a female beardie. Also keep track of Craig's list (online classifieds). Kingsnake.com also has listings from bearded dragon breeders. You can go to almost any petshop, but they usually only carry "normal" bearded dragons. If you are interested in sandfires, sunbursts, etc. you will have to find a breeder in most cases. Also look to see if their are any REPTILE EXPOS in your area. I have found that to be one of the best places to find quality breeders and get a nice variety of dragons.
