Ruffled tulip bulbs can be purchased at local nurseries, garden centers, or online retailers that offer flower bulbs for sale. In Florida, you can try checking with botanical gardens, specialty plant nurseries, or florists that may carry a variety of tulip bulbs including ruffled tulips. Additionally, online flower bulb retailers such as Holland Bulb Farms or Breck's Bulbs may also have ruffled tulip bulbs available for purchase.

What type of flower is on the book cover of new moon by Stephenie Meyer?

Where can you buy a red striped ruffled Tulip like the one on the cover of New Moon by Stephenie Meyer in NJ?

You would probably have to call specialty flower shops. Sometimes you can find them in nature as well. Though it would probably be quite difficult. I would definitely call flower shops. There is a silk version of the Estella Rijiveld/red & white parrot ( ruffled ) tulip on Ebay. The real tulip only blooms in late Spring and unless grown by a private grower, they cannot be found mass produced.

Why is the ruffled tulip on the cover of New Moon by Stephenie Meyer?

"Q. What kind of flower is that on the cover, and what does it mean? A. That is a ruffled tulip. As for the meaning... If you've read the Twilight FAQ, you know that the apple cover had a lot of meaning for me, and I was an active part of the covering process. However, that experience is more the exception than the rule in the publishing world. Something to keep in mind if you intend to embark on a career as a writer: lots of things you might expect to be under your control are not. Covers, for example. Those are mostly up to the publisher and the marketing and sales departments. So I don't know what the tulip means-I didn't have anything to do with this one." This was taken directly from the FAQ section of New Moon on Stephenie Meyer's website at www.stepheniemeyer.com.Okay, this is just what I think, its just my opinion ( but i have looked up the ruffled tulip):Tulips symbolise love, that particular tulip symbolises perfect love. There's a Turkish legend which says that a prince called Furnand fell in love with a maid, and when he discovers that she had been killed, he is grief ridden and he rides his horse off a cliff. For every droplet of blood that was spilled, a red tulip appered from the surface of the sea. This links to Bella, she does jump off a cliff, for different reasons but all linked to the same idea of not being able to live without your love. Also, the Tulip is ruffled, which could also symbolise Bella as being messed up. That's what i think the ruffled tulip on the cover of New Moon symbolises and why its there.
