I would. But get a good one. Airsoft pistols are bad to jam.
No
Without protective gear, there is always the possibility of injury. Even with protective gear, there is a chance of injury. If you are shooting a gun of any kind, you should be wearing eye-protection.
Airsoft firearms represent the most authentic and efficient means of participating in airsoft skirmishes. In contrast to paintball markers, airsoft guns are meticulously crafted to closely emulate the appearance and tactile sensations of their real counterparts, rendering them ideal for simulating a lifelike battle environment. Moreover, they are engineered to discharge plastic BB projectiles, enhancing safety and precision when compared to alternative airsoft weaponry.

In my opinion airsoft wars do not hurt but yet I play paintball. But it really matter what fps the airsoft gun is and how close they are to you and if they are shooting you once. But really airsoft does't pack a punch in the hit it just stings a little bit.
"super cqb airsoft wars" could be elaborated on, but I'll do my best to cover the topic. In backyard airsoft (around the house, etc.) anywhere above 275 is good. What I mean by good: your bb is going to get there in time to the target to leave a welt of some kind. High FPS does not mean high accuracy. It means your bb will get there quicker. Anywhere above 200 is reasonably good for close-encounters accuracy, but if you get above 375, it's likely no one will want to play with you, because no one likes huge bleeding welts. To conclude: if your airsoft gun of choice shoots in the neighborhood of 275 to 350, you'll be fine for just about anything you want to do in a CQB environment.
