I have contacted Ashley twice recently and both times was told that they do not sell relacement parts to the public. They told me that replacement parts can be ordered from an authorized dealer.
Most stores that sell Ashley products (HomeStores and mom-and-pop dealers) have access to AshleyDirect.com, a dealer-only web site that lists parts for current models.
As a former HomeStore Ops. Mgr., here are a few tips to make things easier:
* For upholstered goods, get the model # off the sticker under the cushion or reclining base. An example is 5552238: The first three digits (555) are the model, the next two digits (22) are the color code and the final two digits (38)are the type of product (sofa, ottoman, recliner, etc.). If you ask for a replacement cushion for a "green sofa", it will be impossible for the dealer to order the correct part.
* For casegoods (end tables, dining, bedroom, etc.) get the complete model # of the item. This can be a bit trickier. Mid-priced and above items are usually sold "each" and have both a model (B191) and suffix (-92). Value-priced items often ship as a set (table and 4 chairs) with just a model # (D444). Be sure to get the correct and complete model and suffix - some dining and bedroom groups have multiple styles of tables, headboards, etc. If it's a part for a bed, be sure to bring the size (King, Queen, CalKing, etc. as well).
* On older items that have been out of production more than a few months you will not be able to find wood pieces, handles or fabric items. For basic hardware repair items (screws, leveling legs, etc.) your best bet is bringing in one of the pieces needed (if available) and seeing if the dealer can match it to a current item (no guarantees and at your own risk - parts orders are almost always non-returnable). An alternative for such items is to take the sample to a full service hardware store such as Ace: they often carry common parts and the price will usually be lower than ordering through an Ashley dealer.
