To find TM1 (focus punch) in Pokémon Pearl, you're going to need at least six gym badges which should give you access to the moves; Fly, Surf, Strength and Rock Smash. Fly to Oreburgh City and exit west. You should now be in a cave called Oreburgh Gate. Head a little west and north and break the rocks with Rock Smash, then go down the stairs. Now head south till you find a large pool of water. Use Surf and head west till you hit land and find a old man who will battle you; after the battle keep going west. Push the boulder out of the way with Strength then head north and use a combination of Strength and Rock Smash to clear the way to TM1.
