The required fuel/oil ratio for the 98 model, 25 hp Mercury outboard is 50:1. This is roughly one pint of 2 cycle oil, to six gallons of fuel.

there is no carburetor on either of these vehicles, but if you are referring to the throttle body, then yes, they should be interchangeable.

The '98 Galant would not have a carburetor, but rather fuel injectors. I know on the '99-'03 the fuel pump is located in the fuel tank itself. Not 100% sure on '98, but they should be similar.
