Assuming you mean the single shot falling block 22 rifle- good luck. That rifle used a folding tang sight made by Remington- and has been out of production since 1931. My usual sources of used parts have none in stock. I would suggest you try the on-line forum for Remington Collector's Association, and see if you can locate one through the members there.

To remove the rear sight of a Remington 742 rifle, first ensure the rifle is unloaded and safe to handle. Use a flathead screwdriver to carefully loosen the screws securing the rear sight to the receiver. Once the screws are removed, gently lift the sight off the mounting base. Be cautious not to damage the sight or the receiver during this process.

Yes, you can mount a scope on a Remington 582 .22 cal. rifle. You will probably need to take off the plastic rear sight. And more than likely you will need high bases if you put on a 1" diameter scope.
On the front receiver ring, behind the rear sight.
There are two screws securing the ramp to the barrel. One screw is quite obvious at the rear of the ramp. The other screw is under the front sight blade. Remove the front sight blade and you will be able to remove the mounting screw.
