The unanswered question list is a list of unanswered questions.

Scroll down the page until you see "Unanswered questions". It's on the right side at the bottom of the page.You can do the same on another page, for example the Science page has "Unanswered questions" at the bottom, for science questions only.

When your question is asked it will appear in the unanswered questions until other questions are asked and it will slowly fall lower in the list until it leaves the list. You do not have to do anything but ask the question to get it in the unanswered questions list.

The unanswered questions are listed in the order they were posted. To find the oldest question in a particular category - simply go to the last page of unanswered questions. That's what I did when I came on here today !

No, the Featured questions list does not list answered questions. The point of the Featured questions is to basically "put out there" any unique, unanswered questions.Here and there, an unanswered may creep in, usually by a new supervisor. In a case such as this, the supervisor is soon alerted to this oversight.

There is a link at the upper left-hand corner of this page that says "Unanswered Questions." Once you click that, you will be taken to a list of several different categories that lets you specify which unanswered questions you are looking for. To find unanswered social studies questions on WikiAnswers, go to the "Social Sciences" category. In the upper left-hand corner, you will find the word "Unanswered." Click on it and a page of unanswered questions will load. Also notice that there is a list of more specific categories on the "Social Sciences" page. If you click on one of those, you will go to that category page and there will be "Unanswered" in the upper left corner.
