A gas line is typically a metal pipe that carries natural gas to appliances in your home, such as a stove or water heater. You can identify a gas line in your home by looking for a metal pipe that is connected to your gas appliances and runs from the wall or floor to the appliance. Gas lines are usually labeled with yellow tape or paint to indicate that they are carrying gas. It's important to never tamper with or attempt to repair a gas line yourself, as this can be dangerous. If you suspect a gas leak, leave your home immediately and call your gas company or emergency services.
