I've recently also discovered a nice book I bought in .licksforeveryone.com
you get 299 Guitar licks and 10 backing tracks. I really enjoyed it. Recommended
You can also find plenty of them in .Amazon.com
You also have the Lick Library edition.
personally i like death magnetic by metallica. if you are a metallica fan the book is really awesome. the tabs are good and allthe guitar parts are there. the only problem (and its a very minor riff) is a small palm muted riff in cyanide. it doesnt sound correct but the guitar thats playing over top makes it hard to tell. I havent yet found any other problems and im almost finished the book. if you are not a metallica fan i recomend the hal-leonard guitar play-along series. the tabs are correct about 90% of the time and the series has many diffrent genres and artist books each book has about 8-10 songs and comes with a CD to listen to the tracks and it has play-along tracks. they cost about $20 each.
No, according to Wikipedia and other sources including "Beatlesongs", a book about Beatles songs, George Harrison played guitar and sang backing vocals. Drums were played by Ringo.

If you want to teach yourself to play the guitar, the first thing you will need is a guitar and some picks. The second thing you will need is a book on how to play the guitar. and the third thing you will need is a way to tune the guitar, possibly a pitch pipe. Then you will need to tune your guitar. Then you open the book and start learning and practicing.
