To reset a Timex 1440 sports watch, first, press and hold the "MODE" button until the display shows the time setting mode. Use the "START/STOP" button to adjust the hours, minutes, and other settings as needed. Once you’ve made your adjustments, press the "MODE" button again to save the changes and exit the setting mode. Make sure to check the AM/PM indicator if your watch has one, to ensure the correct time is set.
