Wild West Guns in Anchorage, Alaska sells big loop levers for the 1894. They can be reached at www.wildwestguns.com. I thought I'd add that Wild West does not make a lever for the 1894. The do for the 336 and 1895s. The only guy that does is David Clay with DRC. Flexwing man
My guess is Stainless Talo Big Lever. The STBL is a limited edition Talo rifle. The STBL is in stainles and sports the larger loop lever. Oddly enough, the barrels have SBL stamped on them but the STBL is not an SBL.
I am searching too, but I do not plan to pay any $150 for a big loop lever for my Marlin 1894SC. If I have to I want to buy a used or new plain lever and build a big loop myself. I recently bought a Lincoln 140c mig welder and I also have a Dremel tool to cut the lever then add metal and weld it back . I bet some blacksmith has built them before . carelock@suddenlink.net and my name is David if anyone can help. thanks
move the trigger loop, it should be on the bottom tang.
Value is based on make, model and condition. IF the carving and the loop style lever is original, that is a plus. If done at a later time, a minus. The 39A is no longer in production, and prices are creeping up. In very good condition, $400 and up.
The H&A Model 832 .32 rimfire caliber, rolling block action, was made starting around 1900 up to around 1914. In "GOOD" condition current retail value is in the $175 to $200 range, assuming it has a "loop" lever (closed). If your piece has the earlier "pig tail" (not closed loop) operating lever - the value will be approximately 25% higher.
I'm not exactly positive of the rife used in the 1969 movie True Grit, but John Wayne had a fond preference for his Winchester Model 1892 Repeating Rifle. One major distinguishing characteristic of this rifle is the large, oversized loop on the loading lever. John Wayne had one with a large gold "JW" emblazoned on the wooden stock. Here is a link to a replica of that rifle that was made By Winchester beginning in 1892.
About $700 if it is like-new condition.
Yes- stacking is performed using the sling of one rifle tha is placed vertically, and two other rifles with the flash suppressors inserted through the loop of the sling of the vertical rifle.
