The form of the company name you gave indicates a gun made between 1886 and 1915, so parts may not be available. You might check with Numrich Gunparts at the link to the right >>>>, but a competent gunsmith should be able to make a firing pin, especially if you have a broken one for him to copy.

If it is a typical Stevens double or single barrel there should be a metal lever towards the back of the stock slide it left or right and tilt the barrel down.

User Avatar

Maybe. Why would you want to? It may cost more than a new gunas you may have to fabricate some parts. It's best to use firearms as designed rather than reengineer them. you can easily compromise safety.

I don't know what the numbers on the trigger are unless they are a part number, but you can add about 25% to the asking price for a single selective trigger.

I have one. Case hardened receiver, solid rib. Interestingly, in looking a the single trigger, there is a slot next to it (underside of receiver)which contains a piece of metal which does not protrude below the receiver. It's as if it was a double trigger converted to single trigger. I have no idea. It was made before 1948. I use it to this day, got four chuckars just yesterday. It just puzzles me. The side of the receiver says Stevens and next to it "model 5000" and it has an engraving of a pointer on the receiver as well. ????

The value of a J Stevens single barrel 410 shotgun from 1922 depends on its condition. This gun in excellent condition is valued between 125.00 and 150.00 as of 2014.

User Avatar

Nope. You would still have only one firing pin- but now it would not be in line with EITHER barrel.

User Avatar

Apparently, not much. The Standard Catalog lists identical prices for both. The 530A was available with a single trigger which lists a little bit higher.

If it is not marked on the barrel, you should have a gunsmith measure the chamber length.

Not sure what you mean by a "12 barrel." If it is a 12 inch long barrel, it has been cut off and is an illegal firearm. In any case, .410 single-shot Stevens guns bring $100 in top condition. sales@countrygunsmith.net

There is a selector switch for the barrel you want. Not both barrels at the same time

User Avatar

With that form of the Stevens name, it was made between 1886 and 1915. Single shots are worth from $35 to $90, depending on condition.

If this is a Stevens single shot #35 in .410. It is on the Federal List of banned weapons and is illegal to possess, or sell. Look at the National Firearms Act.
