The Official PS3 microphone earpiece can be bought at most major retail stores, like Walmart, Best Buy, ect, you can purchase from online stores, such as PlayStation's website, phone stores, or even eBay. Any BlueTooth microphone should work. I have not heard of any that don't.
There are also wired microphones that will work. Many will, but I know for a fact that Logitech makes compatible microphones for PS3. I had a Logitech Pro Chat USB for a long time. Served me good for a long time.
