If it comes up saying ''UNOWN GAME'' it means that your Action Replay hasn't got any cheat codes stored for that game. You need to aquire the games ID and then find the codes you want and then store them on your Action Replay.

first you choose your codes, then the action replay saves them on your ds (short term only) then you put the game back in to play the game :)

I can use my action replay with any of my game cartridges and my r4 card also works by itself but when I try to use the r4 cart with the action replay it says insert game cart?
You can not use R4 with AR. For AR codes with R4/TTDS, you need to find the cheat code editor on the R4 main website. Then follow the instructions there.
How do yo get action replay on Pokemon Diamond?
just put the action replay in the ds and then when it says insert game cart, put the Pokemon diamond in and it will have a bunch of basic codes. Use the control pad to scroll down and press a to select it. Press a on a checked one to deslect it. You can add many codes by finding them on the internet. The codes will be activated and if you don't know how to use them, ask me.
