I don't know of any airsoft guns with built in batteries, but if there were any it would be extremely inconvenient. The nice thing about airsoft gun batteries is that they are rechargeable, and that they can be replaced with fully charged ones between games.
The light on it does, but the actual gun is spring loaded.
Yes they can just look at how many volts the battery is that came with the gun if you get to many volts it will destroy the gun.
According to the Airsoft Splat website, the different types of electric Airsoft guns are the Desert Eagle and the M9 Military Gun. Both of them require batteries.
No. If you are 18 you may purchace an airsoft gun without a lisence.
It uses a 7.2V NI-CD 400 mAh battery. If anyone knows how long to charge it, please say so. I have this airsoft gun too.
No, airsoft guns are toys. They use batteries and gearboxes to fire 6mm plastic bbs at an average of 2 joules. Although many high powered air rifles can be as dangerous as real guns, they should not be confused with airsoft guns.

You can't without some experience in metalwork.
The more powerful the batter just means the longer your gun will last before it has to be recharged. 'Fox Airsoft Store' offers some gun upgrades, these will improve your gun. Also, a gun's fps is already pre-determined by what parts are installed, upgrades will improve the gun but stronger batteries will only extend the gun's life before it needs to be charged.
