It is unclear where the urban myth about burundanga came from, but emails began circulating around 2008. It is definitely a myth and appears on the site Snopes.
yes. it is there. beware of it
It is an urban myth about a plant. They say this plant is extremely dangerous because people can use this as a drug and if someone gives you this you can pass out so the other person can harm you or take advantage of you. Burundanga is the street version of a pharmaceutical drug called scopolamine. It is made from the extracts of plants in the nightshade family such as henbane and jimson weed. It's a deliriant, meaning it can induce symptoms of delirium such as disorientation, loss of memory, hallucinations, and stupor. In powdered form scopolamine can be easily mixed into food or drink, or blown directly into victims' faces, forcing them to inhale it.
I got an email about this 'burandanga drug' is this fact or fiction? Let me guess: someone was at a gas station in Katy, Texas (it's a suburb of Houston) and received a business card that was soaked in burundanga, and the drug paralyzed them. The stuff will paralyze you, but you've got to do something like dump it into someone's drink if you want to paralyze them.
