FLP is the extension of an FL Studio project. If you want one as a template, they need to be created as such and placed in the "Templates" folder to be used in future projects. If you want FLP demos to use as something to work from, then it is not a template as such, just someone else's work.
How it works is like this:
Once you find a group of instruments and sounds you need for an entire song, save it as an FLP in the "Templates" folder. Future projects used from there will never be saved there, FL will save the projects elsewhere and the template will be safe to reuse.
