absolutely not they are completely different

I have a 2.3 quad 4 in my 95 z24 and a 2.4L in my 01 z24.

z24 has the different wheels, its usually a 2 door. They both have the same 2.4L engine. If you fast forward to 2002, they made the z24 with 2.4L engine, but in the 2002-1/2 and up, they changed to the LS model, with 2.2 ecotec engine.

4 cyl engine is a z24 and it is a 2.4 litter engine

The same way you set the timing of any Z24 engine. The vehicle it is in makes no difference. Do you know how to use a timing gun.

You can find a 1993 Ford van vacuum schematics for a 5.0 engine in the car's owner's manual. You can also check with different auto stores.

As far as i am aware the engines and transmissions are interchangeable between 99-02 cavalier z24's as long as the are both z24 cavaliers.

It means it has the 2.4L engine vs. the 2.2L.

The Z24 engine is an overhead valve engine and the Z34 is an overhead cam engine. The Z34's engine is pretty tight in it's engine bay so if you were thinking of doing a "swap", Z34 engine will not fit in the Z24.

Are you looking for an exploded diagram of the engine itself, or are you looking for electrical schematics?

No, A 2.2L OHV will NOT replace a 2.4L DOHC engine.

My 97 z24 is at the front under the air box just to the passenger side a bit in front of the engine.

Yes but why would you want to? The KA24DE is superior to the Z24 in many ways

12 thousandths on both intake and exhaust valves is the clearance on that Z24 engine

the firing order on nearly all 4 cyl engines and specifically the Nissan z24 is 1,3,4,2

I don't see why not, its basically the same block.

With some custom fabrication I have read of a GM 3.4L engine with a turbocharger.

The stock horsepower is 140 for the 3.1L engine.

No...No....No... The 2.2L OHV engine and the 2.4L DOHC (Quad-4) engine are two different animals.
