Any body piercing shop or tattoo shop that offers piercing services or Claire's.
But, I have to say, it is preferable to get your cartilage pierced with a needle because a gun can shatter your cartilage.
Upper ear cartilage is uncomfortable however it's not eath shattering, if you want the piercing get it done by a pro and you should be fine.
Pain and discomfort are part and parcel of getting the cartilage pierced with a piercing gun. The piercing gun user knows that they are not allowed to pierce ear cartilage with a piercing gun. Properly done cartilage piercing done by a professional body piercer would have been healed by now. The swelling is due to the stud backing being too close to the skin and not allowing the piercing to drain or breath properly.
Do not get it done with a gun! Its really dangerous and any piercing shop should know this, if a piercing place is saying they do it with a gun. Do NOT go to them. Do it with a needle only. Guns are only for ears, and your not even supposed to use a gun on the cartilage of your ear, it could shatter your cartilage.
Yes you can, however this can not be done with a piercing gun. This needs to be done by a professional body piercer in a licensed peircing facility. Piercing guns are not intended to nor are they designed to pierce ear cartilage, infact in most places it is illegal ( by local health regulations ) for anyone to use the piercing gun to pierce anything other than the lower ear lobe. The piercing stud will actually "break" the ear cartilage in stead of cut it like a piercing needle would, this breaking can lead to various forms of disfigurement of the ear cartilage requiring the services of a plastic surgeon to repair. Any location using a piercing gun to pierce upper ear cartilage is doing so in violation with most health regulations and the manufacturers instruction. Doing it doesn't make it right or legal.
its your upper ear:)

no
Ear piercing is normally done in commercial centres in piercing shops.
An ear piercing gun sounds like a stapler. I had my ears pierced at Claire's recently and they are great at it. It's over in 5 seconds. its a small plastic gun and they position it at the ear lobe/cartilage and click its over!
I had my cartilage done with a gun and it was completely fine, i didn't even know they had done it. Honestly, it is a very small chance it will shatter your ear. I know 7 people, including me, who have had it done with a gun and it is fine. . (:~Piercing guns are disgusting. Please don't get it done with a gun. Guns collect blood, dirt, dust, and sweat. They can't be autoclaved so whatever gets in there stays in there. So theres your increased risk for infection. They use way too much pressure on your poor ears bc they have to to shove a blunt object through your ear. Plus, the people who use them arent nearly as qualified as legit piercers. Just don't do it.~-Getting your cartilage don with a gun is not a good idea. It just pushes a ear ring threw and does not remove the cartilage and it just gets stuck in your ear. Even though very small, this tiny piece of cartilage does cause much pain to someone. Its worth the time and money to go get your ears or any body part pierced professionally!-
of couse you cant the person who is pierrcing your ear does it for you
Well if it's done by a piercing gun lots can go wrong. If it's done by a professional body piercer the problems are much less. Piercing guns are not to be used to pierce anything other than ear lobes so that being said in the hands of a pro following the aftercare you should have no issues.
