Any place that permits hunting with firearms. BB guns are very difficult to use for hunting, due to lack of accuracy and power. However, I do squirrel hunt with a 5mm Sheridan pellet rifle. It is extremely accurate, and adequate for squirrels out to about 45 yards.

Do you need a license to hunt with a pellet gun on your own property?

in most states you may hunt your own property with NO lic. Not true for all type of game. Small game OK, but big game (not something you hunt with air rifles). may need a permit or win a lottery. Check your local DNR office.

Can you hunt deer with a Daisy Powerline 1000?

Definitely not a big game hunting rifle. It's too small a caliber. It's fine for rodent control, but medium to large game are way out of the capabilities of this rifle. There are air rifles that are used for hunting but they are in a class of their own. They are called PCP's (PreCharged Pneumatic) class rifles. The ones used for deer hunting usually are 357 or 50 caliber air rifles and will cost you $500 or more just for the rifle. They require a charging system that can cost another $300. None of the Daisy line of airguns or rifles are capable of deer hunting. If you want to hunt with an air rifle I suggest you look at a Benjamin Rogue .357 or a Sam Yang .50 caliber Dragon claw.

What time of year can you hunt squirrels?

No; use of a firearm within given distances of a residence is illegal in most countries. Air rifles are legal. Use a piece of plywood behind the bird feeder to make sure the pellet stays in your yard if you miss.
