Probably could but ultimately would need photo's. One of the clearest and easy signs to tell if this is factory engraving is the serial no is engraved vs stamped. If it's not engraved fancy and fit into the design it's not factory and there's not going to be much anything anyone can tell you other then the age based on the serial or if after 1920 based on the date code. As for inlay into the wood that's simply not factory.
