To play with sims you've downloaded from the sims 2 website you simply enter Create-a-sim and click the tab where maxis created saved sims are. Then simply click the next arrow and find the sim(s) you've downloaded. Then click on the sim. The random sim should disappear and show the downloaded sim. If you don't find the sim you want in the folder, make sure your random sim is the same gender as the downloaded one. I'm pretty sure that the folder icon is six little people.
