Hi: I found, you bring a pot of salt water to boil. submerge yellow beans ( perferably in a basket) into the boiling water for three minutes. Take the blanched yellow beans out of the pot of boiling water and immediately put them in a pot of ice cold water. Let sit until beans are cold to touch. Lay out on clean dish towel and pat dry. We used vaccum seal bags and this works wonderful, for storage and preservability. Good Luck. Albert & Edna
Yes, wax beans are always yellow. This particular one grows from black seeds and will produce black seeds inside the yellow (wax) bean if left on the bush long enough to dry. It's very confusing but I grew some this year so I've seen it first hand.
Green beans are typically transported from the farm to the market by trucks. The beans are harvested, sorted, and packed into crates or containers, which are then loaded onto trucks for delivery to the market. The trucks may travel long distances to reach the market, ensuring that the green beans are fresh and available for consumers to purchase.
It takes about 2 weeks to plant beans.
I would try the yellow pages or www.yellowbook.com. There got to be abunch of them out there doing birthday parties, etc.
Yes, you can freeze dry beans for long-term storage.
4 to 10 days
Only if the beans were left in a body of water for a long time. However mold does grow on beans.
Store dried soup beans in an airtight container in a cool, dry, and dark place where they will keep for up to 12 months. If you purchase soup beans at different times, store them separately; they may feature varying stages of dryness and therefore will require different cooking times. Cooked beans will keep fresh in a covered container in the refrigerator for about three days.
yes, long island city is in queens, which is on long island
Fire Island is part of Long Island. It woudl be more helpful to ask how long it takes to get to Fire Island from a particular Long Island town.
