You mean buisness cards that are shiny? Many companies make attractive buisness cards at a low cost. You should really shop around and compare prices/ see which ones you like.
I would use marker on the non-glossy side because it could smear on the glossy side but I guess you could use crayon or colored pencil on the glossy side. Overall for any writing I recommend the non-glossy side!
I am not quite sure, but, by the sound of it,it seems that it would be a resteraunt, bookstore, or any other 'bussiness' that is located in an airport. That or the bussiness, work and/or money made by an airport (e.g. "Yeah, I work in the airport bussiness")
You can go to Staples.com they have everything online you would not even need to leave your desk and you could have it all delivered to you new bussiness.
For my eyes, it is easier to read the non-glossy books because no glare/reflection would occur.

Ceramic tile is glazed. Being so, it is not something that can be made to look glossy because it is non porous. In theory you could wax it, but it would be messy, hard to maintain and very slippery.

Yes you could make a brochure in it. For a simple brochure, it would be very good. For something more sophisticated and glossy, then a desktop publisher would be better to use.
The answer depends on the size of the cards. It could be just one large package.
