O I found grace, at the foot of a rugged cross on Calvary.I found grace, grace with the awesome power to set the captive free.I found grace, sustaining grace.I found grace, redeeming grace.Yes I found grace, fulfilling, indwelling grace, his loving grace.Yes I found grace, amazing grace to meet my need.verse 1:I sought for wisdom in the ways of this worldbut no wisdom could be found.I sought for meaning in the words of great menbut their words just let me down. Not seeking justice for the things that I'd donemy soul needed mercy and I found it in God's son.verse 2:Give up the search, it's a useless dream your chasing. You'll find no peace until you seek his faceThe answers right before you at the foot of the crossYou'll find that it's a holy place.Confess your sins and lay them all down.Pick up your cross and let Jesus turn your life around.
Read the book and find out.
It doesn't mean anything! I think what you are wanting to ask is, what does "there but for the grace of God go I" mean? "There but for the grace of God goes I" is something you say when you see a (often terrible) situation unfolding, in which the victims could well have been you. You could change it a little to say "If it hadn't been for God's good graces, that could have been me going there". It speaks of fate, and luck, and how life's turns and twists can strike at any time. Its a great saying, and when you use it you find yourself having empathy for those you are speaking of.
