"Eat it or wear it" is from the Judy Blume book 'Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing', where the main character's younger brother, Fudge, won't eat his dinner continuously, until one day his father becomes fed up with his behaviour and tells him "You are going to eat your corn flakes, or you are going to wear them!" before taking him to the bathroom, standing him in the tub and dumping the corn flakes on his head. Fudge remembers and repeats the expression afterwards as "eat it or wear it!"
The "Eat it or Wear it" challenge is a popular YouTube trend where participants pick a food item out of a hat and decide whether to eat it or have it poured over their head. It became popular as a way to create funny and entertaining videos for viewers to enjoy.
