Anne studied at the Montessori School until 1940 - then she studied in the Jewish Lyceum until she went into hiding in 1942.
Back in those days with so many restrictions forced upon the Jewish community in Amsterdam, Anne had no choice but to study at the Jewish Lyceum.
The Montessori school she went to in Amsterdam still exists today, it is now called the 6th Montessori School Anne Frank.
Anne Frank didn't "find" the Annex-they already had it. The Annex area belonged to her dad, and it was attached to his company, Opetka. Mr. Frank was preparing the Annex months before they actually had to use it. He planned on going into hiding on July 16th, 1942, but Margot received a labor camp letter so they left on July 6, 1942.
She definitely knew the possibility. She knew that if she actually gets found out in the Secret Annex, then she could die in the concentration camps.

Only Otto Frank, the father, knew the family until both families met for the first time when going into hiding in the Secret Annex
Her golden rule was "laugh about everything and don't bother yourself about the others!'
She stoped going to school the day that her family and her went into the secret annex on 6 July, 1942. They didn't tell the school they were leaving to make sure no one knew where they were going.
The first part of the book takes place in her hometown and talks about the changes going around her. However, most of the books takes place in what Anne called the 'secret annex'.
What made Anne Frank feel successful was thatshe kept a diary for two whole years even though it was her first time keeping a diaryalso that she hid in "the Secret Annex" for two whole years without going crazy.
During weekdays in the secret annex, residents woke up early, had breakfast, and then spent the day in hiding. They kept quiet during the day to avoid being heard by the workers in the building. At night, they had dinner together, and there was some time for leisure activities before going to bed.
When Mr. Dussel arrived at the secret annex, he told everyone that he was a dentist and that he would be staying with them for a while. He also mentioned that he had been in hiding before and knew what to expect.
This is not known. The only postwar testimony of what was going on in the Annex when the arrest came was from Otto Frank, who was up in Peter's cubbyhole room giving Peter an English lesson. Anne was downstairs at the time. The next Otto saw of his family and the others was standing in the main room with their hands up.
Anne and the Frank family had lived in Frankfurt, Germany. Anne had been four when she moved.
