The leg
Benedict Arnold was wounded twice in battle. His first injury occurred during the Battle of Saratoga in 1777, where he sustained a leg wound that significantly affected his mobility. His second wound came at the Battle of Quebec in 1775, where he was shot in the leg. These injuries contributed to his reputation as a brave and capable military leader during the American Revolutionary War.

Richard Montgomery and Benedict Arnold were defeated in the Battle of Quebec in December of 1775. This was part of the first military initiative of the Continental Army.

The Continental Congress dispatched General Richard Montgomery and Benedict Arnold to fight the British in Canada in 1775. Montgomery was successful in taking Montreal, but was stopped in Quebec City. It was there that he was killed in battle. Benedict Arnold was praised for conducting an orderly retreat of the American forces.
