The armistice of 11 November 1918 was negotiated in the forest of Compiegne, 65 km north-east of Paris.
The Treaty of Versailles signed on 28 June 1919 turned the armistice into a peace.

Was Italy are ally in World War 2?

Not exactly. Italy entered World War 2 as an Axis country in
1940. However, the Mussolini regime was overthrown and Italy was
permitted to negotiate a surrender in 1943, whereas Germany and
Japan were forced to surrender unconditionally in 1945. From 1943
to 1945 Italy was officially an Allied country at war with Germany,
but Italy was devastated by three years of war and did little as
one of the Allies.

What is one result of world war II?

There were many results of World War 2. One of Major ones was
that the Axis surrendered, Germany surrendered on May 6th 1945 and
Japan on September 2nd 1945. Both Germany and Japan signed a
unconditional surrender. The reason for Germany was the allied
victory of Battle of Berlin and for Japan was blackmailing threats
and the effects from the Hiroshima and Nagasaki Atomic
Bombings.

Differences in alliences in world war 1 and 2?

Both world wars had Germany on one side and Britain, France, the
United States, Russia, and China on the other. Differences include
the fact that the Russia of World War I was the imperial Russian
Empire while the Russia of World War II was the communist Soviet
Union. Countries that changed sides include Turkey (for Germany in
World War I, neutral in World War II), the Austro-Hungarian Empire
(for Germany in World War I, no longer existed by the time of World
War II), Italy (against Germany in World War I, for Germany in
World War II), and Japan (against Germany in World War I, for
Germany in World War II).
