The sword was found in the church of Sainte-Catherine-de Fierbois near Chinon in
France. The sword had actually belonged to Charles Martel, a famous French
commander who defeated the Saracens in the Battle of Tours in the 8th century.
Joan knew from her saints that the sword, with 5 crosses near its hilt, would still
be there, buried not too deeply behind the altar of the church.
Someone went there for Joan and found it and brought it back to her after they
had rubbed the rust off of it.
They told her to drive out the English from France and bring to Dauphin the Reims for his coronation. The voices told Joan of Arc to find the Dauphin and crown him as the King of France, and then lead his armies against the British, in order to liberate France.
There is very little information available about Catherine Talbot, Countess of Pembroke. I was not able to find any portraits of her online.
Catherine the Great had two children, Anna Petrovna and Tsar Paul I. See attached links for pictures that I could find...
1.) Born on January 6, 1412, at Greux-Domremy, Lorraine, France2.) In May 1428 Joan had visions that told her to find the true king of France and help him reclaim his throne from the British.3.) Her military victories from February 23, 1429, to May 23, 1430, brought Charles VII to the throne.4.) In 1431 she was tried as a heretic by a bishop who was a supporter of the British. She was found guilty and order to be burned at the stake.5.) Joan was burned alive on May 30, 1431, at Rouen, France.
I find nothing in credible biographies of Joan that alludes to her being beaten by her father. Her parents were both devout Catholics and I am quite sure that, while the children were disciplined, they were never abused.
