In 1811, when Abraham was about 2, the Lincolns moved to another cabin on Knob Creek, in Kentucky, also near Hodgenville. Knob Creek was located about 2-3 miles from Abraham's birthplace, Sinking Spring farm, on Nolin Creek.

Lincoln was a boy of seven when his father moved the family to Indiana, presumably to improve his chances to make a living as a farmer. He did not read many books at that age, even if he had access to them. I doubt that any books influenced his decision to move with his parents to Indiana.
Lincoln moved to Springfield in his sister's home in 1839. He lived there until November 4th.
