For someone that might know...I was in Oregon and heading to California and all throughout this vacation I saw nothing but Elk signs..and then ran into a herd of them. Since then and having taken pictures, I've had people telling me that they were not Elk but Caribou. So does anyone know if that's the case? Are they elk or caribou? OR can there be both in that region?? Any response would be appreciated... Thank you

Hans Riegel invented gummy bears in the early 1920s when he started the company Haribo. He made them bears because he was inspired from them when he was growing up and saw the trained bears at street festivals.

Koalas are not bears, they are a tree dwelling, herbivorous, mostly nocturnal marsupial mammal and are indigenous to Australia. Their closest relative is the wombat. The incorrect notion that they are bears comes from the latin name given to them by the first Europeans who saw them, (Phascolarctos cinereus), the "us" implying they are bears "ursus".
