They got their water from a water hole or pond and carried it back to where ever they lived by using a very primitive carrying basket which would be just like a bucket today but it was made from things like bark and big leaves all stuck together.

The aboroginals were able to find water that had collected under the ground, they also knew which plants held water or were a good moisture source.
