A frog's tail disappears for one main reason. As a tadpole, the frog's legs have not developed yet, so a tail is the only thing that can help the tadpole propel and move itself through the water. When its legs develop, the tail disappears because the frog no longer has a need for that, as the legs allows the frog to walk on land and swim through water, so there is no need for a tail anymore. Thus, the frog is just getting rid of something old for something new that does twice as much.
they are dying from pollutants some of the very big companies will use the water then put it back where they got it and when the frog drinks it could kill it or it can make it's babies be deformed
Frogs are endangered because of deforestation and people not taking care of our environment. :)

It's very hard to determine exactly the number of tomato frogs those dying off each year, even the number of them is undefinable. We only know three of the four species of tomato frogs are in Madagascar, the life time of a tomato frog is from 6 to 8 years.
because frogs are dying off due to the toxins humans are putting into the air. The miners canary would die as a result of toxic gases in the mines, this would tell the miner it was time to get out. The fact frogs are dying off is indicative of the fact that or environment is on its way to becoming too toxic for us to exist in.
Frogs and toads have a high mortality rate, which means they lay a lot of eggs because most will end up dying before becoming a fully mature adult.
the frog's only layer of moisture is found on their skin (outer layer), therefore, in a hot and windy day, they lose this layer therefore drying out and dying.
You really can't. You can put a "skamper ramp" on your pool to help them get out but its hit or miss they'll see it. There is a an ingenious lightweight, net device called Critter Guard that provides a ladder for frogs and other animals to use to climb out of a pool. Visit the Critter Guard Web site at or at Critterguard.net for Purchases and additional information.
The most likely answer is pollution. Some form of pollution has made its way into the water and made life unsustainable.

Frogs, as well as salmon and trout, are an indicator species. In the case of frogs, they are largely an indicator species for humans. When frogs disappear or die, it can indicate a threat to humans-- such as a disease or a natural disaster. Also, a large number of breakthroughs in medicine are due to frogs; if frogs die off, we lose a large amount of our medicine. In fact, frogs may be a key factor in curing certain types of cancer. In short, frogs are extremely important part of our lives-- whether we know it or not.
No, there are female frogs and male frogs.
Frogs start out as tadpoles and then they develop into jumping frogs. They start life in water.
