Benjamin Franklin was born on Milk Street, in Boston, where he grew up, on January 17, 1706.
Benjamin Franklin was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. He grew up to be an author, printer, political theorist, scientist, inventor, and diplomat, among many other things.
He always wanted to be a sailor, but since one of his brothers was lost at sea, his father, Josiah Franklin, did not allow Benjamin to become a sailor.
Benjamin was pulled from school to support the family. He worked for his dad making candles for a while and then was apprenticed to his brother who was a printer. He was often treated badly until he basically escaped. He educated himself and is the epitome of the self-made man.
Google. Just look up "Biography of Benjamin Franklin" and it should come up.
