\n. \n Answer \n. \n. \n. \nFor the same reason most of the "movers and shakers" are male, which can be explained in part by the theory of sublimation. Men divert that innate drive (many attribute to influence of male hormones) into productive channels, which could explain why men are at t…he top of the totem pole in many categories: artists, inventors, engineers, etc. I don't recall any immortal Greek philosphers who were female. Those who channel that energy into violence and deviant behavior account for the vast majority of prison inmates. ( Full Answer )
"Classical liberalism" is a recent coining by modern right-wing libertarians. The first known use is in the title of the 1962 translation of Mises' "Liberalismus": the term is not present anywhere else in the work. No evidence has been found for its use anywhere earlier.. The term "classical libera…l" is a propaganda ploy (unhappily adopted by some innocent academics) designed to convince us of authority and historicity of modern libertarian dogma. It's as if libertarianism needed papal succession to justify authority descended from Peter (Adam Smith) to modern popes (Mises, Hayek, Rand, etc.). There is no academic definition of Classical Liberalism, nor any agreement on who were the Classical Liberals, what comprises Classical Liberalism, or how it differs from the myriad modern libertarian sects. Instead, there is merely assertion of a great many conflicting opinions.. The modern intent of usage by libertarians has a great many near-synonyms: Manchesterism, Austrian Economics, Free Market Fundamentalism, NeoLiberalism, etc. A loose but more reasonable definition might be liberalism of the 17th to 19th centuries: but that is based on time, not coherence to any set of principles. It would be hard to to find unified principles that included Locke, Smith, Rousseau and many other liberals if that period. Attempts at definition of Classical Liberalism have approached the task by donning ideological blinders and ignoring any liberals or aspects of liberalism that disagree with their preconceived definition.. During the progressive era (around 1900), democratic progressive populist liberals were distinguished from free market fundamentalists as the new liberalism (and the others were the old liberalism.) Both groups can trace their ideas very clearly to their predecessor liberals in the preceding centuries. ( Full Answer )
Answer . Van Morrisson wrote and recorded the song with his group called "Them"in or around 1965. It has been a staple of garage bands ever since. I think maybe the Kinks also recorded it in the seventies. . The song has also been recorded by many other groups in variouspermutations, inclu…ding, but not limited to, The Gnats, Shadows ofKnight, Enchantment, the 101ers, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix andR.E.M. . Possibly the most famous cover of the song was an almost completereworking by Patti Smith, which begins with the famous line, "Jesusdied for somebody's sins, but not mine." ( Full Answer )
Rock and Roll music started as a simplification of Rhythm & Blues. Rock and Roll appealed more to kids because it seemed less ethnic (read black) and easier to dance to than Rhythm & Blues. Much of the early opposition to Rock and Roll was because white parents lumped it in with Rhythm & Blues and c…onsidered it black music.. Rock and Roll was also influenced by Gospel as well as Country and Western. Later Rock and Roll became simply Rock and we had the British invasion (Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc) then came Punk Rock, Glam Rock, and Metal. ( Full Answer )

The words "classic rock" often refer to rock music that comes fromthe 60s or 70s (or even 80s) but still sounds good today. There areradio stations that specialize in this kind of music, playingartists like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and yes, some songs by Rush. However, it should be …noted that even thoughRush first became popular in the mid-1970s, they continue toperform and continue to create new music; so, a number of albumrock stations play their music too. No one really know what rock came first but I would assume it would be Igneous because it came from volcanoes and those have been around a long time. Sedimentary rocks take millions of years to form, and metamorphic take long as well. The best answer would definitely have to be igneous.

Rock didn't really start at one time. It evolved over many years from the blues, rock n roll, pop amongst other genres. Rock music really came to prominence in the 1960s and 70s though.
Oh geez where to start!!! theres Boston, Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Grateful Dead, Santana, Guns n Roses, Creedence Clearwater Revival (the best), Simon & Garfunkel, Pat Benatar, The Doors, Van Halen, etc etc
The answer to this depends upon your opinion. I, personally, would say The Who. Others would say the Beatles, and then others would say the Rolling Stones. It depends on how you look at it.
Metal classic rock (Classic Metal and Metal) mainly started with the band Black Sabbath. Ozzy Osbourne, born Michael (was it Michael??) Osbourne the lead singer, was kicked out of the band because of his drug abuse and was replaced with Ronnie James Dio (Born Ronnie James Padovana, and the best sing…er ever!!). Ozzy Osbourne lead a solo career and after Black Sabbath, RJD made his own band, Dio. So these three groups all had music that was the start of Metal. ( Full Answer )
Judging strictly by musical criteria, classic rock is far superior to modern rock; it's more melodic, complex and artistic. From a visceral standpoint, modern rock has more of a "getcha." Faster, louder, in your face. Depends on how you like your rock...well-worn or fresh! It's all rock...some great…, some not.. OF COURSE IT IS IT WAS THE BEST TIMES OF HISTORY AND OF THE WORDS OF ACDC FOR THISE ABOUT TO ROCK WE SALUTE YOU ( Full Answer )
"Classical" and "Rock and Roll" are both distinctly different types of music that cannot really be compared, other than you either like them or you do not, and both can be appreciated for what they are.. Composing and playing of Classical music requires a deep understanding of musical structure and… derives its pleasure from the interplay of melody, harmony and structure. It can be played on a single instrument such as the piano or the guitar, the product of an entire orchestra and the distinctive sounds of the many components of the orchestra, or even something like a string quartet (three violins and a cello).. Rock and Roll is usually played on a group of electric instruments, has a beat and is very rhythmic with a relatively simple format of verse, chorus, verse and perhaps an instrumental break somewhere in the middle. It rarely requires a deep understanding of musical structure, and many of Rock and Roll's greatest exponents have never been musically trained.. Both genres have both great and poor examples of the style and, they can be well played or poorly played. Neither style has been on the "Top 40" for many years, but do not dismiss either of them for that reason, simply because they are no longer in vogue.. I personally enjoy both genres and their many individual component styles plus a great many others, like the various styles of jazz and the blues, folk, pop, etc. If you truly like music, you will find something to like in every musical genre. In my opinion I would say from British Blues and Jazz in the '60s. Teenage Brits would go to these concerts and fall in love with blues. Mostly late teenage men would go out and learn how to play harmonica, guitar, bass, drums, piano, and how to really use their vocals. Eventually, these teenagers w…ould start forming bands and play blues like their idols. The one difference was that all these kids were white and they were playing black blues and jazz. The outcome were white kids playing black blues poorly, which came out as pop art music. These bands were made up of 18 year old kids cutting their hair short, that used pop art symbols. The pop art was made up of targets, mouths, odd letters, and lots of different variations of the Union Jack. They were the first mod bands. Bands like The Who, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds, Cheap Trick, The Kinks, etc. formed in this decade. These bands flourished and got so famous for their music that they could do anything they pleased. This is when the next generation of the late '60s and '70s rock came in or classic rock. Bands started trying new things in rock, like odd guitar, rock operas scratchy vocals, amazing screams, synthesizers, 17 minute songs, and songs about whatever you pleased came in. These rockers were doing things that had never been done before in music history. Some of these bands were made up of musicians who had left there bands in the late '60s, like Cream or Led Zeppelin. Some were bands that had been big in the '60s and got bigger in the '70s, like The Who and The Rolling Stones. The others were made up of rockers who grew up in that '60s generation and wanted to be like their idols, like Boston and Aerosmith. These bands that were big in the '70s really did things that still remain amazing music wise. When the late '70s came bands like Van Halen formed who would be an '80s rock bands. And this is what I consider the end of the classic rock era. ( Full Answer )

Difficult question. The biggest inspiration for creating western music was religion. It was never birthed at a certain time but it evolved from the music that came before it. In the Vatican, throughout the early middle ages monks would sing in perfect fifths and would learn and sing by ear. It was P…ope Gregory who is often credited as the man who first notated and simplified music. It was very raw and simplified but it allowed monks to read the music they were learning. This evolved, more notes and note lengths were added and eventually evolved upon until the common score was created (with a bass and treble clef.) It was during this evolution that was called the medieval period of music, where most of the music being created was coming out of Italy. After this came the Renaissance which is generally seen as being from 1400-1600 where music had evolved to be able to be played in small groups and notated easily. This is when countries such as France and Germany had their influence on the standard European music. It wasn't until the birth of Bach as a composer that the rest of Europe had effect on classical music. He was German. From that point on, Germany, Italy and France were the biggest composers. The classical era was born out of the Baroque era. It was birthed in primarily Germany and Italy. ( Full Answer )
No single person or band founded classic rock. It developed from the early rock of the 1950s, which got its start with guys like Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Elvis Presley. Rock music continued into the 1960s with psychedelic rock and the beginnings of classic rock, which peaked… in the late 1960s but continued well into the seventies. The seventies was the era of punk rock, glam rock, and classic rock bands. In the eighties it was heavy metal, new wave, goth, and hair metal. The nineties was the grunge era, and the 2000s has been a very, very sad decade for rock 'n roll. Every era of rock music has many, many well-known artists, and all of them build upon and evolve from the rock 'n roll of the past. ( Full Answer )
