Present day mountain called Sinai is not the correct mountain but was chosen hundreds of years later as a site to commemorate the event. The real Mountain of God (Horeb) in ancient Midian is highly guarded by the Arabs and no scholars, Christians, or Jews are allowed anywhere near it.
