there is two places fry bread has come from, one is when the Canadian North American Indians took the new world explorers across the county as their guides in search of new lands, specifically the Scotts. The Scottish explorers shared the recipe with the native pathfinders, and showed them that it was a easy quick bread to add to meals as it was easy to make and easy to pack as the ingredients didn't take up much room in their back packs as room was limited so it was practical as well tasty and convienient.
Another wear abouts of its location is when the American Government put its native peoples on reserves and pushed them from their hunting lands. They gave them flour and amongst other things to make them get buy as they were givin limited hunting space, so from here is when they started making their bread as they couldn't always hunt as much as they used to cause of the confinement.
