Iron Maiden have always been a heavy metal band since they began in 1975
It tends to be disputed to some extent, but 1970 - the year of Black Sabbath's first release - is the most common answer.
The song "Metal Heart" was released by the German heavy-metal band called Accept in the year 1985. The song can be found on the band's "Metal Heart" album.

Bismuth has unusually low toxicity for a heavy metal first described prior to 1959
1970 saw the self-titled album from Black Sabbath, and that's typically considered the starting point, although several bands from the 1960s are considered to be 'proto-Metal' leading up to the inception of Heavy Metal. 1970 was also the year that Sir Lord Baltimore released Kingdom Come, as well as the year that the band Pentagram was formed (the US band, not the South American one). Sir Lord Baltimore was actually the first band which the term "Heavy Metal" was used to describe.
Although it's hard to pin point an EXACT year, many will say that Metal was born in 1968-1970, with the release of Led Zeppelin 1-3, Black Sabbath's self-titled and Paranoid album, Deep Purple's self titled and Deep Purple in Rock, Alice Cooper's Pretties for you and Easy Action, and Iron Butterfly's Heavy, Inna gadda da vida, Ball and Live albums. Not long after, Heavy Metal got it's name from the Steppenwolf song "Born to be wild" (Though few see them as a heavy metal band). Again, few can pin point the exact year when heavy metal was formed, or when it got the name "Heavy Metal", but this is the opinion I have, which many people generally agree with
Nevermore - This Godless Endeavor (2005) - Listen to the track "Born". Very Dynamic song structures. Very dynamic heavy metal. Awesome band that broke up a year or two ago. Pantera - Cowboys From Hell (1990) - Raw heavy metal, with a deceased guitar icon. You'll find the most badass solos on this album. Listen to the solo on "The Sleep". Don't miss the title track "Cowboys From Hell". I'm very sure these albums will hook you into heavy metal for a very long time. All the best!
on most there is a metal tag under handle bars or on frame it will be month and year example 6/91
