Essentially the same as people, with a few differences. Some had plank beds, some rope beds. These were covered with straw tick or cotton tick mattresses. Rag stuffed mattresses were common. Occassionally some had down or feather mattresses. Wool blankets and quilts were the most common covers. It was also very common for multiple family members to share a bed.

They sleep in small huts which are very dirty. Normally about 10 black slaves sleep in just one of these huts. They sleep on old rotten furniture and dirty straw and hay. They are very poorly made and are not very protective against wind, snow, and rain.

Slaves didn't have beds so they slept on the floor or on a wooden board. They used hay or rags to give some comfort and warmth.
