Where did the religion first develop and when?

Depends on your world veiw and the various sub categories of preconceptions.

A Christian would say that religion has always exsited and made various

changes throughout history according to where various people went and how

things flowed for them. An atheist might say that religion came about over time,

and depending on what he believes maybe primitive apes in Africa thought it

up and as we became more complex so did our religions. The thing is that we

cannot really answer that because every thing we know about history from that

deep in time is more or less conjecture based on what the individual scientist

thinks; wether the world is a few thousand years old, or millions, or even billlions. History and science is delicate balance of lies based on yet more lies. So you are kinda out of luck if you want genuine truth, because we don't really know. If you are religious talk to your church leader, if you are an atheist ask a like minded scientist. Either way it might be a lie
