Because the British had come into Ireland to invade (like they did to most of the countries, continents and islands). So like most people they immigrated to different countries. They choose New Zealand because its so awesome :) and probably because there wasnt as much people there as other places. My great grandfather was full blood Irish, he immigrated from Ireland to New Zealand.
