Answer 1

The Iroquois lived in Lake Ontario and in longhouses or Wigwams for large and small families. They live along rivers that provide them with water, and fish to eat. They lived in what is now called "New York State."

Answer 2

Today and historically, the Haudenosaunee Peoples (often called by their French name: Iroquois) live primarily in upstate New York in the United States.

The Tuscarora, uniquely among the Six Nations, were not endemic to the New York area and were actually migrant natives from North Carolina where they had been pushed out by British Colonists. the Haudenosaunee accepted them in the 18th century as the Sixth Nation.
