Their enemies were the Patriots, the Patriots were the colonists. A group of people who fought for the thirteen colonies. The Loyalists thought of them as untrained soldiers, and they were correct. From an Americans point of view a Loyalist was a traitor who turned against the colonists to go with the British government.
One way that Patriots and Loyalists are similar is that they are both types of colonists that lived in the British 13 colonies. Another way that Patriots and Loyalists are similar is that they both were involved in the American Revolution.
After the Revolutionary War ended, Loyalists mostly returned to England, "switched" sides, were allowed to peacefully go to England, or were forced out of town by former Patriots.

A Neutralist is a colonist way back in times who is neither on the Patriots' side, who go against Britain/England, nor the Loyalists' side, who was loyal to the kingdom of Britain/England.
The patriot militia including the over mountain men silently enveloped their forces to surround the loyalist militia at King's Mountain. Then the patriots attacked by surprise. The patriots charged up the hill by surprise while also firing their weapons from behind trees and stones. The loyalists were completely taken by surprise. They had very little defense including poorly built barricades because their leader Patrick Ferguson didn't think it was necessary to prepare for a possible patriot ambush. During the battle, the loyalists would make a bayonet charge down hill at the patriots. Since the patriots had no bayonets of their own, they would retreat down hill and melt back into the forests avoiding costly hand to hand combat. This happened three times. The patriot militia refused to go into hand to hand combat and would feign retreat every time the loyalists made bayonet charges. Then after the loyalists tire themselves out with the bayonet charge and full back to their camp, the patriots would regroup and attack the hill again. It was difficult for the loyalists to find a target to shoot at because the patriots constantly used cover and concealment with trees and rocks. Plus, the down hill angle of the hill caused the loyalists to over shoot and miss their targets a lot of the times. After the battle of King's mountain, the loyalists surrendered and the patriots claimed victory. The loyalist casualties were 290 killed, 163 wounded, and 668 captured. The patriot casualties were 29 killed and 58 wounded. The patriots were able to utilize guerrilla tactics by attacking by surprise, feigning retreats from costly hand to hand combat, and using cover and concealment within the environment while sniping loyalists who were poorly protected by their incomplete barricades. With such guerrilla tactics and warfare, the patriot conflicted way more casualties on the loyalists and were able to claim victory. Guerrilla warfare was one of the most important factors that helped the patriots claim victory at the battle of king's mountain.
the major function is for the arteries to pump the blood away fom the heart to go to the other body systems.
Ask the Loyalists: How do you benefit by supporting the king? What benefits do you get from the taxes you pay? Why should the colonists be taxed? Is it really worth it to not sacrifice so many lives? Ask the Patriots: How do you benefit from turning against the king? How else should you pay for the war? Why shouldn't the colonists be taxed? Is it really worth it to lose so many lives? After the war the Patriots believed they had the right to expel the Loyalists and abuse them. Few were killed but many were forced to leave their homes and were pushed out into the countryside or forced out of the country entirely. This is one of the firsts acts the Patriots made as newly liberated men. Was this the right thing to do? No, probably not; but we have to remember how the Patriots were treated by the Loyalists during the Revolution. If a Loyalist found you were a Patriot plotting with other Patriots on tactics of liberating the colonies from the King they would not hesitate to turn you and in let you be punished. So really the Patriots acts were a form of payback but it still does not justify either of their foolhardy actions. The Loyalists did not have the right to abuse the Patriots during the Revolution and the Patriots did not have the right to abuse the Loyalists after the Revolution.
During the 1700's, near the beginning of the Revolutionary War in which America became an independent country, the American peoples were split apart into two groups: The Loyalists and Patriots. The Loyalists wanted to remain loyal to their mother country, Britain, because they believed that they still needed Britain's finiancial and miliatry aide, since America was still an undeveloped country. When the Revolutionary war was propsed, the Loyalists decided against it because they had a small and untrained army, which was not much more than a militia, and no navy. (America later depended on France for naval support, especially in the defeat of General Burgoyne). The Patriots, however, were for the idea of breaking all ties with Britain. Most of the reasons for the Patriots outcry for war can be traced back to King George III. In the Declaration of Independence, the founding fathers created a section that listed all the wrongs done by the king. Most of the original founders of the American country were British exiles, so they had plenty of hate toward the king. During the Revolutioanry war, the patriots forced many of the loyalists to go back to Britain by burning their homes and farms and stirring up public dislike towards them. The patriots were the ones who fought against Britain int eh Revolutionary war.
