There's an English village called Haverhsam, which is close to Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire. I know it's not quite the same as Habersham, but the sounds /b/ and /v/ are close and can easily be mistaken for one another - and not just in Spanish. In any case it would seem to me to be worth looking into. Of course, you may find there's no genealogical link.
