Actually there were at least two although Valley Forge Pennsylvania is the most well-known. The following year the Patriots spent the winter at Morristown, New Jersey and the winter weather was worse there than at Valley Forge.

They spent the winter in Valley Forge. They were 35 miles from Philadelphia which is where the British Army was.
The life in Valley Forge was hard. There were cold winters. Washington and his troops endured a winter of terrible suffering, lacking decent food, clothing and shelter. Washington's greatest challenge was keeping the continental army together. .
Hot in the summer and somewhat mild in the winter, but there was a terrible winter thru the years 1609-10 called "the starving time."
