Start with the smallest rooms in your house, then eliminate rooms you know for sure the phone isn't in. You could even write down all the rooms in your house and check them off as you know it is not in there. Then you can narrow it down to a couple rooms and search those 2 or 3 over until you find it. I am still looking for mine.
Retrace your footsteps
You can't. You need to report your phone lost just to cover yourself if someone finds it. Buy a new phone and get a new number.
Look for it
Look for it.
His phones dead, he lost his phone, or he's mad at you.
You do nothing
His phones dead, he lost his phone, or he's mad at you.
File a report, and (if u have insurence) your phone company should give you a new phone
Re-trace your steps. Wherever you last saw it is probably where the phone is. If it isn't there, think back even further to what you did before that.
That depends on the type of phone you have lost. IF you lost a phone which is/was running an app with a locator beacon, you turn on your/a computer, open the parent app which has a program which allows your particular phone's unique signal to be followed to its location. Unfortunately, if your phone's battery goes dead, your signal is lost and the phone remains where you lost it! If you have any other type phone, you either cover the areas where you believe you may have lost the phone, calling the phone and listening for your unique ring tone sound. Unfortunately, if your cell phone's battery goes dead before you find your phone, it may remain right where you lost it unless you accidentally find it by accident! Potentially, if you are a millionaire, you could hire trained professionals to use tracking equipment to find your phone. (The tracking equipment (usually in the hands of the police) is SUPPOSED to be used to find a person who is in a life threatening situation using their unique cell phone signal to triangulate the phone's position using the closest cell towers as the base of the triangulation. It is technically illegal to use these devices to find ONLY a lost phone, but money makes many illegal things invisible!)
Unfortunately, you cannot look up lost contacts from your phone. Looking up a phone number will provide general information, and not pin a name to the number for security reasons. Simply ask your friends to give you their numbers again.
